Easter pictures

You know, in my head, Easter was not going to be a big deal. We would wake up Sunday morning, come out and find our humble Easter baskets filled with candy, some new church outfits from Gramma... I mean the Easter Bunny. Then we would hunt for the six hard-boiled eggs we dyed. And then we would go to church.
BUT...the Saturday before Easter we were at Costco and saw something. And in that moment our humble, simple Easter morning became this:

We found a giant (as in 53 inch tall) teddy bear. And frankly, we wanted it more for ourselves than for the kids, but they provided a great excuse. So now we have "Grizzly Gibson" sitting in Lynny' room. We figured that since we can't have a dog, we might as well get something else big and furry.
Lynny loves it. She'll sit in it's lap and read books. She'll have me drag it out into the living room so she can sit in it's lap while I feed George. It's awesome. We love that giant bear.
And here are some more pictures from Easter. (Of course the bear is included)

"Hey Lynny, how big are you?"
"SOOOO big!

George in his new church outfit. It's a twelve month size outfit, believe it or not. I had to hem the pants, but otherwise, everything fit.

Here's the haps...

Okay, we're starting a new blog because--for whatever reason--I couldn't get anything to work right on our last one. So here's to a fresh start.

We've loved having two kids and watching them grow. Especially George, who is turning into quite the little chunk. This is a couple weeks ago, and you can't really tell, but he's sooo chubby! He's got those "rubberband wrists" and "rubberband ankles." He's in size three diapers already, which I swear Lynny didn't do until at least six months. In fact, I remember specifically that she moved into size threes just before Christmas which was six months. And he wants to sit up SOOO badly. He hates that he can't do everything Lynny does. He watches her all the time and loves sitting with her.
Lynny thinks it's really fun to lay next to George on the floor, or have him sit on her bed with her. She always insists that he kneels on the floor next to her for family prayer, which requires some creativity because she also knows that everyone has to fold their arms, and you better know she's watching you.
I really need to be better about taking pictures of these two. I've always been lousy at documenting that kind of thing.

I love that they actually look like siblings! I would have loved to look like my siblings growing up. And I love Lynny's nap hair. This kid always has awesome bedhead, I have to admit.

And we've been getting into the Easter spirit this week by dying eggs. It was miserably chilly and rainy on Monday so we invited one of my "mommy friends" over with her daughter Baylee. We let the girls dye eggs, which turned out to be a lot less fun for them than we anticipated. They just didn't understand the concept of letting the eggs sit in the liquid long enough to change color. So it wasn't a big exciting thing when the eggs came out. Oh well, it gave us something to do on a rainy day. And Baylee went home with hands looking like "the Hulk," which gave me a good chuckle.

You can't get anything past Lynny; she knows eggs are for eating, not dying.

Fishing for eggs. How come Mommy got an egg out with the spoon? All I get is smelly green water.
